Hero Hockey Champions Trophy
The 2014 Men’s Hockey Champions Trophy is the 35th
edition of the Hockey Champions Trophy for men. It is
being held between 6–14 December 2014 in
Bhubaneswar, India.
The winner was Germany, followed by Pakistan,
Australia and India at 4th position.

IIM in Odisha
In Union Budget presented in July 2014, Government
of India announced setting up 5 new IIMs in the States
of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Bihar, Odisha, and
Maharashtra. Another one will come up in state of
Andhra Pradesh.
Odisha Govt. is working on final proposal.

Similipal reopens for season
The Similipal Tiger Reserve (STR) and National Park will
be reopened to tourists from November 2 after being shut
for the rainy season, official sources said on Sunday. It was
closed ahead of the onset of monsoons since June 15.

30th Konark Festival

Konark Dance & Music Festival started in
the year 1986 at Konark Natya Mandap by

Gangadhar Pradhan. This festival is held
every year from 19th to 23rd February.
